Soup Kitchen Update
All Saints Parish in Detroit has requested the closure of its Church with a final Mass to be celebrated on New Year’s Eve December 31st 2017. This plan is pending before Archbishop Vigneron. In the meantime, the director of the soup kitchen at All Saints, David Allen, has sent out this message, “As you may remember All Saints soup kitchen is not administered by the parish but is now a program of Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan since the date July 1st 2015. We will continue to operate at the current location until a new location is found. Catholic Charities is committed to maintaining All Saints soup kitchen and food pantry’s Catholic identity and operations in the southwest Detroit area. You will be notified well in advance of when and where we will be moving.”
